Stefano Lupi is the new CEO of Cantiere Navale Vittoria
Cantiere Navale Vittoria announces that the new CEO of the company has taken office. Co-opted in recent days by the Board of Directors, Stefano Lupi, an expert manager in business development and financial and operational restructuring of companies in procedure and not, will lead the current phase of corporate reorganization and recovery. The company’s Board of Directors has given him all the powers relating to the ordinary management of the company and in particular its restructuring.
The president of Cantiere Navale Vittoria, Paolo Duò, declared “Our family has decided to further push the managerialization process of the company already started in recent years, introducing in this delicate phase of crisis management a manager expert in business crises who make governance less dependent on the family that has led it for four generations. Personally, with the other family members present on the Board of Directors, I will continue to be of support with my experience and my passion in the path of continuity that the company is pursuing”.
Last December, Cantiere Navale Vittoria was admitted to the credit composition with creditors procedure by the Court of Rovigo, therefore the designation of the new CEO is part of this process. The manager will guide the company for the entire duration of the insolvency procedure, will work on the definition and implementation of the industrial plan and on the process of identifying investors, supported along the way by leading advisors.
“I am enthusiastic – commented Stefano Lupi – to be able to manage, pending the insolvency proceedings, the reorganization of the business of an important industrial reality such as the Cantiere Navale Vittoria, which has always been an international point of reference for its sector. The task that awaits me is not easy, but, thanks to the support of the company’s shareholders and the recognized skills of its organisation, I am certain that we will be able to achieve the challenging objectives that await us in 2024″.
62-year-old Tuscan, with a degree in economics and management with an MBA in marketing, Stefano Lupi has held various managerial and governance positions in numerous important Italian industrial companies such as American Express, Tnt Express Worldwide, Tredegar Film Products, Selene SpA, and has managed the restructuring and relaunch projects of important industrial groups such as ORV Manufacturing, QRBG Quarella and others.
